Disney’s Tolédo Restaurant & Rooftop Offer Unique Dining Experience

Looking for a grown and sexy spot to enjoy a delicious meal, sip a signature cocktail and watch a spectacular firework display at the end of a full day at a theme park? Then the Tolédo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood and Dahlia Lounge is the place for you. Located in the new Gran Destino Tower at the  re-imagined Coronado Springs Resort, it’s one of the most adult-friendly destinations at Walt Disney World.

The artistic spirit of Salvador Dalí is intentionally woven throughout the resort’s decor. The Gran Destino Tower get its name from the short film “Destino,” a collaboration between Walt Disney and Dalí, the famous Spanish surrealist painter.

The new tower is home to an unforgettable new dining experience, Tolédo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood. It’s a unique rooftop table-service restaurant that offers dishes and small plates inspired by the flavors of Spain.

This place is truly stunning, and real grown and sexy. The sweeping views of Walt Disney World Resort add to the charm and sex appeal of this spot. There is outside seating with food and cocktail service is readily available.

Fireworks Display Adds To The Ambience

After dark, there are views of fireworks from three theme parks — Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studio. The only downside is you can’t hear the soundtrack from the fireworks. You do, however, get a view of the spectacular lights from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge over at Hollywood Studios. I mean, you really can’t beat this.

Guests  also can dine indoors under a pair of large live olive trees nestled beneath a beautiful vaulted ceiling with shimmering stained-glass accents.

Before dinner at the Tolédo, our group stopped by the Dahlia Lounge, a lively room that shares the tower’s rooftop with the Tolédo. Named after the main character from Destino, the Dahlia offers lovely cocktails and mesmerizing views of all four Disney theme parks. Here, we indulged in the lounge’s signature drink — the Gran Gin Tonic.

The Gran Gin Tonic ($13.00) consists of Tanqueray Gin, House-made Saffron-Orange Tonic, and Soda Water. It’s the tonic, which is made in house, gives the drink its distinctive color. While it is a gorgeous drink, I wasn’t impressed with the flavor. Not as sweet as it looks and little bit tart for my tastes.

I settled for my fave cocktail of the moment, a Titos Cosmopolitan, with my dinner, and might I add, the food is excellent. We tried a variety of the tapas and all were delicious. The charcuterie board that featured various aged cheeses melted atop toasted crostini was divine.

Tolédo Offers Spanish-Inspired Menu

I ordered the Red Wine-braised Chicken for dinner.  Pan roasted and garnered with grapes, fried chips, sherry vinegar and roasted tomato ‘bomba’ rice, it was the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time. I could have eaten this dish every single day during our stay.

While the Tolédo’s menu is full of meat and seafood options, the vegans amongst us are not forgotten. The plant-based “seafood” option features a crab cake, scallops and calamari served with a citrus-flavored couscous. The one person in our group who tried it was impressed with all the flavors, but not the texture of “scallops”. Yea, I’ll pass!

We got to meet Chef Robby, the culinary master behind the beautiful food and bold flavors. If he cooks like this at home, I’d trade places with his family any day of the week. He was so nice and genuinely wanted to make sure we enjoyed our meals.

We did, and so will you! On your next trip to Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to stop by the Tolédo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood and Dahlia Lounge. Or better yet, book your stay at the newly redesigned Coronado Springs Resort. The updated aesthetic appeals to an adult crowd that loves all things Disney, but not all the kiddy whimsical frills. I’m looking forward to my next trip to Orlando so I can visit the Tolédo again. That chicken entree is calling me name y’all!

And for my Orlando and Central Florida readers: You don’t have to book a stay at the Coronado Springs Resort to enjoy the Tolédo. Grab your significant other or your girls and book a dinner reservation. It’s that easy to enjoy this amazing place right in your backyards.
