I Got Fit For The Cure To Help Fight Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, that time of year when we put laser focus on prevention, awareness and finding a cure. Breast Cancer affects women and their families every single day. And I have personally witnessed how this devastating disease has wreaked unimaginable havoc on the lives of family and friends.

My childhood friend Desiree and my college friend Trisha each lost their lives to breast cancer before turning 45. Both leaving small children, spouses, close family and friends to grieve such tremendous losses. I have become an advocate of sorts (I could always be doing more!) by encouraging women to understand breast health and to get mammograms.

As a result, I partnered with Wacoal to help ensure more woman have access to breast health information and treatment as part of the brand’s Fit For The Cure® initiative. In its 19th year, Fit for the Cure stages bra fit events all across the country. During the month of September, when you scheduled a bra fitting appointment with a Wacoal specialist, the brand donated $2 to Susan G. Komen®.

Wacoal also gave an additional $2 for every bra or shapewear piece purchased at these events. No purchase was necessary. Giving back to society is a major part of Wacoal’s philosophy. It’s an important factor in the growth of the brand. It’s also one of the reasons I love working with them. Their amazing fitting bras and other undergarments are the icing on the cake!

The new 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝗪𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐚 and the matching 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟  live up to their name. They are both flawless and comfortable, and the color (I am wearing Clove) is totally brown girl friendly. I usually wear bras with underwire because I think they provide better support for my girls. Wacoal bras have been nothing short of amazing for me. The Halo Strapless Bra is had down my favorite.

Hopefully, you will take the time to get fitted for a bra by a Wacoal specialist. It’s a small effort for such a huge cause. Women need women, and this is one of the easiest ways we can help our sisters in need of a cure.
