Animal prints have dominated the fashion scene for a couple of seasons now. Leopard, snake, zebra, snakeskin and tiger prints are EVERYWHERE . It’s also on everything from head scarves to high heels and on just about every piece of clothing and accessory you can think of.
So, it was inevitable that wearing animal print from head-to-toe would be the next logical style grabbing trend. And I am all the way here for it.
However, prints in general can be tricky to wear allover. Even more so when trying to style them from collar to calf. Going full animal kingdom in an ensemble can be intimidating as hell. Kim Kardashian was recently spotted wearing a full on leopard print ensemble while in Paris recently. Her entire look is a vintage Azzedine Alaia, who built his entire Fall 1991 collection around cheetah knitwear. It’s a great example of what goes around comes around. Animal print is here to stay so here are three tips to help you pull off the trend like pro!
3 Ways To Wear Animal Print From Head To Toe
- The New Neutral — Treat animal print as a neutral and add them to your everyday looks. For example, upgrade your classic trench coat with one in animal print like this one.
- Stick with The Same Print —- Keeping your entire look in the same style of print helps everything seamlessly blend together. It’s a foolproof way to master this trend. Look to Azzedine Alaia’s 1991 collection for reference. Kim Kardashian wore full leopard vintage look from this collection recently in Paris.
- Mix It Up —Fashion maximalists’, this one is for you! Believe it or not, the most modern way to wear animal prints is to clash them. Mixing up prints is a bold choice. But when well thought out, looks so seamless and classic.
