SHEIN Finally Delivers Plus Sizing We Can Believe In

If you fancy yourself any kind of fashionista and spend any amount of time browsing the social media feeds of your favorite style blogger, you have most definitely heard of SHEIN. Formerly known on the interwebs as SheInside, the brand has FINALLY expanded into to accurately-grown-woman-sized plus fashion.

One of my absolute favorite style bloggers, Monica from AwedbyMoni.com, can rock some of the cutest items from this brand. It was this stylish diva that first introduced me to the brand. I have so much respect for Monica’s unbelievable ability to make a $10 SHEIN skirt look like Balmain. I wanted in on the gig.

But that was in 2016. Back before SHEIN was repping for us plus girls. And lord, when they started offering plus, the sizing was all over the place. My first couple of orders were pure disasters. Everything was cut extra small. I mean like a 2x was more like a straight medium, even though the site’s sizing chart suggested otherwise. It was horrible. But, I digress. Now, that SHEIN’s sizing is pretty darn accurate with US standard sizing for plus women, I have decided to give the brand another try. And I am glad I did.

NOTE: Ladies size 24 and above continue to have issues with SHEIN’s sizing. If you are a size 24 or up, I would say check out the recommendations of fab style bloggers like Kelli Brown from AndIGetDressed.com

How cute is this whimsical dress. It’s so 1980’s with the colorful geometric print and flounce sleeve. The long sleeves and below the knee hem make it perfect for fall and winter wear, especially when paired with opaque tights. I added the blush pink teddy coat from ELOQUII, and small Gucci Soho chain crossbody bag in blush that made for the perfect combination.

Accessorized! — The dress comes with a belt in the same print that ties at the waist. I wanted to add more texture with a studded belt. The wide solid black belt also serves to break up the busy-ness of the print. And of course, I threw on my fave red bottoms to compete the look! By the way, it is so ok to colorize your curves in colder months. You idon’thave to wait until spring or summer!

The dress is $26 ladies! But wait, use coupon code nikkifree15 at checkout, to enjoy 15% off orders over $59. Click here to shop. I have a lot more cool looks to share with you from SHEIN soon. So, stay tuned! And as always, thanks so much for stopping by.
