Take this Queen of the #Freehive (see what I did there?) look I’m wearing here. I promise, everything I am wearing — with the exception of the sweater — is at least over a year old.
At the first of the year, I made a commitment to shop my closet for hidden (mostly buried) treasures and make them new again. While purging my closet recently for yet another closet sale, I came across this fabulous skirt. It’s from the Victoria Beckham x Target capsule collection from two years ago. I had never worn it because finding a proper top to compliment this amazing piece seemed to elude me.
That was until I saw this sweater in the Atlantic-Pacific x Halogen collection at Nordstrom. Perfect match! My shoes are more than 4 years old and I’ve had the incredibly cute clutch for about as long. The Gucci belt was an impulse purchase in 2016 that I’m glad I made because it will never go out of style.
Who knew this amazing look had been in my closet for years, and I wonder what other gems I can find in mine. I bet there are some ensembles in your own closets you haven’t thought about. Don’t be weary of your wardrobe. Rework your wardrobe ladies! If you take the time to reorganize and purge your closet, I’m sure you will find lots of new looks among the pieces you already own. Go have some fun being your own bomb stylist!
