Again, I prefer my intimates to coordinate with my clothing, so I am always looking for coordinating prints. Kohl’s selection of bras is vast and offers tons of varieties to choose from. I found success and the best fit for bras and panties in the Maidenform selection. The brand tends to offer more generous sizing that is perfect for plus women like me. Full disclosure: I am generally a high-waisted shape wear girl who wears them with everything much to my husband’s chagrin. While like most men, he prefers thongs and the tiniest of intimates, I prefer full coverage support that restricts the jiggle. The happy medium? Cute full coverage bikinis or boy shorts.
Maidenform Custom Lift Demi Push-Up Bra
Take this Maidenform Custom Lift Demi Push-Up Bra and matching panty. I have a lot of black and white polka dots and stripes in my closet. This intimates set were a must-have, not only because of the dots (a major plus), but because of the fit.
Much to my surprise, the bra provides excellent coverage and lift. The support provided was really good. I wear a 40DD and sometimes finding a bra in a department store that doesn’t specifically cater to plus women is challenging. I have had lots of luck with Kohl’s bras. This one is so soft you almost feel like you don’t have one on, and the light padding helps to create a smoother appearance. The underwire is not cumbersome or restricting. The panties are lightweight and provide light support yet full coverage. They aren’t restrictive at all, and are very comfortable.

The Maidenform Modern Beauty Lace Unlined Demi Bra was by far my favorite. Initially, it was the color and the sexy allover lace that made me fall in love. Once I tried it on, I was completely sold. It’s stylish and comfortable, and functional all at the same time. The matching Cotton Dream Lace-Trim Boyshorts were soft and comfortable. I wish they came in plus because the size 9, the largest offered, was a little tighter than I liked. Otherwise, I really like the set.
Maidenform One Fab Fit Extra-Coverage Lace T-Back Bra
Lastly, I bought the Maidenform One Fab Fit Extra-Coverage Lace T-Back Bra. With spring on the horizon, I am ready to pull out all my t-back tanks and tees for warmer days. This nylon and elastane bra is seamless (major plus) and offers comfortable contoured cups. Because front closure bras that fit well are so hard to find, I feel like I hit the jackpot with this.

My goal was to refresh my intimates and find sets that further helped to boost my confidence. Thanks to Kohl’s, mission accomplished. I literally tried everything on before purchase and really looked at my “bare” self in a different light. I love Kohl’s in general. I just bought a coat a couple of weeks ago, and it’s one of the first places I go to look when I need something cute and casual for an outing. I have bought intimates as well and will look at the cute sets you posted here.

OMG I thought I was the only female OCD about her ubder garments (love inimates phrase). I literally get dressed in the morning based on the color of my bra/panty set (giggle). A few years back I tosses out the cotton (well most of them) granny panties, cotton bras, and old singles purchasing more sets. Victoria Secret has always been my go to store especially during the holidays and when I get coupons (free panty it’s a trap) to get you in the store.
I hate padding and underwire but need support (38DD). The VC bras I like with no wire/padding never come in my size. As for panties I like high waist or boy short styles (gave up thongs a long time ago) I need support to lift/hide the buldge (seemless panties loose shape/support) and I don’t like feeling restricted in the creases of my thighs.
I am not a Kohls shopper, but if I can find some cute, affordable, comfortable inimate sets I would gladly give up VC for Kohls. I am sold on the polka dots and lace already before trying on or purchasing.

I would find myself side-eyeing VS while looking at all the cute sets knowing they did not carry my size. Thanks for the heads up with Kohl’s. I always seem to find great deals there, but I never thought to look in the lingerie section figuring they would have nothing for me.
