We’re less than two months away from Spring where all things bright, bold, and billowy is Queen. But why wait until then when you can wear bold color now? I know, I know. Some of you think bright colors are strictly reserved for warmer months. I (greatly) beg to differ. Adding a splash of color to an otherwise drab look can brighten up your winter wardrobe in an instant.
I am fascinated by bright color and live my life in living color. So, why should that change when it’s freezing outside? It is extremely easy to get stuck in a sea of black, brown, gray and neutral tones when the mercury dips. But just because it’s dreary outside, doesn’t mean your outfit has to be.
As a color enthusiast, I went all out with this look. I’d planned only to wear the red New York & Company knit top and pants with a red cropped fur coat. At the last minute, I grabbed this (super warm and super fun) marigold coat and tossed it over my shoulder. I’ve been wearing this coat a lot lately. It was FREEZING the day I shot these photos. But I definitely brought the sunshine. Whether you want to go all out like I did or simply add an element of excitement with some pink metallic statement boots, there are countless ways to brighten up your wardrobe this winter.
