STYLE: SPRING FORWARD

We are in 48 hours into Daylight Saving Time and so many of us are still struggling to “spring forward”. As we get ourselves together and adjust to our new normal for the next week, one thing to keep in mind is this: Spring is rapidly approaching, and that means more cute dresses in lots of bright colors are on the horizon.

This is my “Hello Spring 2017” dress. That’s what I’m calling it. It’s the Grand Marshall of the parade of pretty things to come this season. The colors are representative of everything fresh and renewed. Orange is one of my absolute favorite colors as I think it looks great on my complexion. It’s much like red lipstick … when you find the right shade you fall completely in love. Speaking of lipstick, I always get questions about the one I am wearing. It’s Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the color A Go-Go

Now let’s talk about this ’70’s inspired frock is from Simply Be. Featuring front pockets and a shallow v-neckline, I love the gorgeous navy, white  and different shades of orange patchwork fabric on this very flattering Traffic People dress. What I like most about this retro dress is that you can wear it alone with cute sandals and bare legs or dress it up a bit by completing the look with pantyhose, ankle boots or pumps as I did when I wore the dress to the office. Yes, this dress can double as workwear when paired with the right essentials.

I wanted to play up the orange hues so I paired the dress with a orange Goyard tote and matching platform sandals by Coach. I added one of my Chanel pins and the look was complete. Simple, but full of fun, this outfit is perfect for a day of shopping, lunch and a late afternoon matinee.

Thanks for stopping by and join me in the countdown to Spring 2017!
