STYLE: Effortless Edginess

In my adult years, I have become the quintessential girly-girl. I love makeup, manis and pedis, pearl necklaces, pretty skirts and Caboodles full of makeup. But I wasn’t always the most feminine girl on the block in my formative years.

I loved climbing trees, playing flag football with the boys in the middle of the street and catching grasshoppers. Once, I got into a world of trouble with my Mom for jumping off the second floor bannister in the foyer of our apartment building and busting up my leg. I was a jeans, t-shirt and Reebox type of chick. So whenever I can create an outfit that encompasses both my “personalities” I am all the way here for it!

This look is a perfect example of a great, yet simple way to achieve masculine-meets-feminine effortless style. The ultra feminine ruffles on this Eloquii dress paired with the ultra masculine moto jacket from Lane Bryant (similar here) just works, and creates a polished and totally pulled together look that can easily transition from business casual to happy hour with the guys!

This Eloquii dress is not (yet?) available for purchase on the brand’s website. It was gifted to me when I visited their offices back in November. It was a sample dress that I simply fell in love with and the team (thanks Alex & Diana) let me take it home. Eloquii would go on to sell this dress and named it the Nikki Dress. Of course that was a total honor!

How do you mix and match feminine fashion with masculine pieces? I’d love to hear from you! As always, thanks for stopping by.

Fashionably Yours,
