Who says your fall and winter wardrobe has to be filled with the dark “traditional”colors of the season? Don’t let a dip in temperatures make all your days grey. A splash of color can totally brighten up an otherwise drab look. Fall in love with cobalt this fall and winter
Cobalt blue is one of my favorite colors, and it can be worn all year round. In fact, cobalt blue is one of this season’s hottest colors. It found its way on runways all across the world during the many fashion weeks held this year.

Colbalt isn’t the only blue hue that’s popular this fall season. And although Cobalt is not listed on the Fall 2016 Pantone Fashion Color Report like its sisters Riverside (a cool and calming blue) and Airy Blue (a much more serene and tranquil shade), it was as much a part of 2016 fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris as they were. Another color that was seen at the hottest shows and utilized by the some of the top designers and fashion houses was Fuchsia or Hot Pink. I paired these beautiful hues together to create a carnival of colors on a beautiful fall day.
The entire look, with the exception of my YSL bag, is from ASOS and each item (sweater, skirt & shoes) is unfortunately sold out. I’ve had this midi scuba skirt for at least three years and it’s from the ASOS straight sizes. If you shop this brand, you already know that ASOS is pretty generous in it’s sizing. I am a 16W/18W in most plus sizing, however, I can wear a lot of 14s in ASOS.
This beautiful sweater with this gorgeous embroidered and sequined stork sprawled across the front, is so fun The perfectly compliments the skirt. It was a cool, but sunny day in Brooklyn when I took these pictures so I opted for quilted open toe sandals that are ASOS’ take on the Gucci metallic crossover sandal. This turned out to be such a fun and carefree look that I just adore. I hope you like it too!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by! What bright colors are YOU wearing during fall and winter? Tag me in your looks on Facebook and Instagram!
