So I am really obsessed with this entire look. From head to toe it’s bold and beautiful. As summer approaches, I wanted to revisit one of my favorite, carefree hairstyles and decided to revive the big curly afro. It’s definitely my go to look when I’m not even remotely interested in doing much of anything to my mane.

Then this dress. Yes, let’s talk about the dress. The Minnie Bell dress is from the 2014 Demestiks New York collection. I love this line and the amazing African-print inspired designs from Creative Director Reuben Reuel. The print, necktie detail, the bell skirt and the pockets combine to create a classic silhouette that’s fresh, on-trend and fashion-forward. One of my favorite brands and designers, Demestiks NY and Reuel never disappoints.
My clutch was handmade from magazine pages and was gifted to me by a friend on my birthday a few years back and the shoes I chose to complete the look are from Nine West. I love that both add a pop of color to this classic black and white ensemble.
I wore this look to the Lifestyled event presented by my blogger boo Maui Bigelow from Phat Girl Fresh. Click here and here for more photos from that fabulous event that celebrates and promotes womanhood and confidence.
I hope you enjoyed this look and much as I did, and as always, thanks for stopping by!
