STYLE: Flirty Fringe

I don’t know about you guys, but it seems like the Greek Goddess of Fringe has gone mad and is tossing it everywhere and on to everything. Sometimes I think I have been transported back in time to Woodstock with all the fringe belts, bags and vests I see everywhere. There are some serious fringe violations going on as of late. But don’t fret, if you like to add a touch of tassel and fringe into your wardrobe there are lots of great ways to incorporate the accent into your everyday style choices without looking dated.

Take this amazing (and affordable) mini skirt from Elvi. How adorable is it? I love the pale pink color and the black elastic waistband that totally minimizes the area around the midsection. I was a little worried about the length when I ordered it, thinking it might be a little too short for my comfort. I was pleasantly surprised that it hit slightly above my knee making it an option for the workplace.

I was pleasantly surprised that it hit slightly above my knee making it an option for the workplace.  I kept this look pretty simple by pairing the skirt (ON SALE here for $25) with a long sleeved black mock turtleneck and a pale pink moto jacket from Forever21. The fringe/tassel detailing in the skirt adds enough dimension and texture to make this simple classic look a little more interesting and flirty! And the entire look was less than $100 minus the handbag. You can’t beat that!

Have I shared how much I have fallen in love with Elvi Clothing? I've known about the brand for a few years, but never ordered anything from them until recently. I am sold and they have a new unofficial "brand ambassador" in me. I will share why I'm really into Elvi in a January blog post. With that, here is hoping you are inspired by this pale pink and fringe look and here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and holiday season!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Fashionably Yours,
